so ive found that although my rhom will eat anything and everytging he seems to really love crayfish. last time i went fishing i picked up 2 dozen crays for like 7 bucks which was great because the lfs sells the same ones for 2.99 each. after a week in QT it was dinnertime.
i threw them all in figuring he would eat them as he gets hungry and some would survive for a bit and clean up the mess he makes when i feed him other stuff. although this seems to be working, the crays have gone nuts on my big amazon sword. at first i was like awesome because they were picking apart the dead leaves and roots. today my massive sword it in shambles and hopefully my rhom will hurry and eat the rest before my plant dies.
moral of the story: research anything before you put it in a tank. a 2 seccond Google search would have saved my plant and a headache.
(am i the only one that thought they were scavangers feeding mostly on dead fish and stuff?)
