So I have this Bahia and she will not eat anything, is not super active, sits in the back of the tank most of the time, Did mouth some massivore about a week ago nothing since at all, but nothing is getting into her stomach, shrimp, talapia, live gold fish, live african cichlid, massivore, The male as you can see in the pics came with her and is eating great, previous owner said she never was skinny in his tank but never really watched her eat specially with all the other fish, more of a dump here is your food. She did bump herself as seen in the pics on the acrylic when the xingu was pushing her around a little. But that is not much at all.

She was in with all the other fish before and my large xingu was making sure all knew she was the boss, but the small male still always ate great. Its hard for her with all the large rays to eat off bottom so moved her over into this divided area with one ray to help clean up and fatten up at the same time for extra growth, The jack, nudges her in what I would call his normal loving way he does with most fish, he has not really ever had a mean bone in his body till he met the xingu, he bumps her a little and gets her moving a touch but nothing like the male or normal fish, she just seems to have no interest at all in food or anything. She maybe swims around the area once or twice a day I would think other then that in the corner or close all the time. Water is on a heavy heavy water change every second of the day, and everyone else is as always fat and happy, temp is constant, tests have not been done as honestly I know what they are going to say and I would take a bet with anyone if they are willing to lose money.

Any ideas or thoughts, should I salt the tank? Pimifix? or what else could it be, Ill take more pic as wanted, Ill shoot video, its been 3 weeks now with no food eating as far as I have seen and at this point I watch and watch everytime. I have left extra in the tank with all types, other then live as if they go near the divider they are as good as gone and much enjoyed by others.

also I do feed mostly in the evening all the time, once a day or every other day depending on fish as all the others are pigs and sure don't need the food.

Im getting really frustrated with this fish and hope someone can help me out.

How big is she and how long has she been in the tank? When I moved my old monos to another tank they didn't eat for 3-4 weeks and then one day they just started back eating.

If your bass still has that big nasty sore on the bottom lip, you're gonna need to treat with Prazipro

About 12 inches, 3 weeks, ya I still worry and would rather try anything sooner then later.

What big nasty sore, a little bump yes , but you do not throw meds in for something like this. No meds needed at all for such things, if anything some salt can be added but this is so small its not needed just a small bump against the tank.

That is caused by lip locking no worries
