Ok i hate to ask this cuz im sure its been asked but im just in the middle of tank moving. So if i set up a new filter on a tank thats holding half used tank water from my 100g n half fresh will it take shorter to cycle? The fish have to be moved into the new tank tom morning. So i thought if i add all my plants into this tank wih no gravel willthat help speed up the prosses?

Having some of the old water will certainly help, and have filter media from another established filter in your new filter will be even better. The cycle will be faster than normal yes, but since you have to add fish right away, just keep an eye on your ammonia and subsequent nitrite levels to make sure they don't soar so high as to become deadly to some or all of your fish. If this is the case, you'll be better off doing a partial water change to reduce the high toxic levels and have to accept a slightly slower cycle.

Well levels sayed low with all my plants in the tank so its did fine for over night cycle

water does not hold any of the benficial bacteria. So old water does not help you at all there. But if you can add some old substrate and filter material and your plants that will help things out. It may take a few days depending on your stock level for the ammonia and nitrite to show up. I would just check daily for a week or so and then every few days for a while to make sure.
