Another Dead Angel

After careful observation last night I noticed there was another bully angel in the tank. I separate that bully into a QT tank before he would kill my other precious rare angel.
Yes, that is a pearlscale pruvian altum. I bought them for $30 a piece at that size. These grow bigger than the regular angels you see at mom and pop store.

My setup is 125gallon tank with 8 angels, 5 clown loaches, 1 black ghost knife, 18 bichirs. Water parameters is 7.3 pH, nitrate, ammonia, and nitrite all read ZERO. Last week, I lost a beautiful bichir so there could be something in the water. I got my UV system hooked up yesterday so might nuke creepy micro organisms.
Yes, I think this angel was actually bully to death. There were some light fin damages but nothing major that would kill it. I think it's the stress caused by the bully that killed it. I witness one my smaller angel bullying my biggest angel for a good 10 mins. The bully would chase from one end to the other end non stop. I just recently acquire this new angel and happened to be a bully. I knew I should've pass up on it when I saw it going psycho with it tankmates at the store. Here is a picture of the tank taken a year ago.

Thank Navygirl. Ya, I moved the bully into my 20 QT. I'm not sure what's going on but it seems that the bully was just targeting the biggest angel. The bully is totally mellow sharing the 20 QT tank with another angel of similiar size.navygirl76;1956192; said:
