Another Eel ID please

Hi Guys, I recently purchased two eels from my lfs. They were labled as peacock eels but I am not convinced.

Here are some pics on one of them, sorry for the quality but as you know they can be hard to photo.

Tire Tracks. Possibly zig zags. But the last picture I'de say 99% sure a TT. But deffinately not Peacocks.

Kinda hard to tell but I agree that its either a zigzag or tire track. How big are they?

They are currently about 10"
I was thinking tyre track also but the shop I use are very good so I am suprised they may have got it wrong.

10" then it is most likely TT

I guess only time will tell and seeing how big he gets. I almost put him to sleep as you may notice in the second pic the end of his tail is missing. I think he had something wrong when I got him as the skin was whitish and some other fish then nibbled at it.
He has started eating again but still seems to be breathing heavy.. I just don't want him to be suffering. I also don't to take his life away if he has potentially a good life ahead.

The other I have has real balls.. if i put some blood worm in the tank he will dive through the other fish to get some.

was it stressed out when the pictures were taken? could be just the blur of movemnt but its looked like zigzag to me, but then later in the last pictures i saw some spotting patterns of tiretrack, if you can get clearer pictures would be better....duh lol
