today i fed my rb frozen scrod since goldfish arent good for him. hes been eating only goldfish before today. he seemed to really like the scrob.
ANYWAYS, is scrod a good/healthy choice for the rb? should it be his mane diet. i would try shrimp but unkooked market shrimp is really expensive like 20 bucks.

yea what is scrob?? why is shrimp so expensie for you? i got mine for like 8 bucks. i think it was a pound bag and i havent run out yet...

Try pellets that is/would be best . :) To answer the question ~! WATS scrob ?
he wont eat pellets

Most Ps will take any meat form of seafood, I use frozen mixed seafood that comes in 1-2 pound bags and sells for $1 1/2-2 a bag. I get this at discount groceries such as the Grocery Outlet. It is a mix of shrimp, clams, squid, octopus, pollock, and mussels or oysters, though I generally remove the oysters and mussels before using. A mixed diet is always best rather than a continuous diet other any one type. Frozen smelt is also a good supplement.

The kind of shrimp I get is like $5-$6 per bag and it last a long time. They are shelled and uncooked and I only feed it to them a few times a week.

While writing this I went and thawed one out and was holding it in the tank by the tail and my 4 little guys started swarming it and one splashed a bunch of water on me. I got scarred and dropped it in and by the time I gathered myself it was gone. I guess they kinda like shrimp.

As one said earlier their carnivores so they eat any kind of meat. I personally have always fed my boys either chicken or shrimp. My question to you now is how big is this rb, because if he still is young, someone mentioned already to feed pellets. I think the best way to go is probably pellets if you can train your fish to eat it. GL.
