Another Gar at work!

Hey guys it is me again. we just caught another gar at work like 1 hour ago. In the Basin just like the last time. My partner has only ever seen two in 18 years make it to the basins and now we have both. However this one is only 2 and 1/4 inches long. Also in the basin were some minows that had apparently just hatched, they were like 1/4 of an inch, so we dipped them out and put them in the jar with the little gar. He ate 10 of them! No joke! but If we keep him what would we get that small to feed him. Brime? I mean we are not always at work and the minnows he did not eat died with 15 minutes, what else could it eat?

You could probably feed it guppies. Other than that, maybe ghost shrimp?

yup, like said guppies. and try to get him eating worms. when they get bigger u can try to get them on shrimp.
or can feed live(just u need a large variety)

You could also try some small (break them up if you have to) freeze dried or frozen krill. One of my gar loves krill, and that's probably the first thing I'll try to break my new shortnose gars onto.
