another gar

nice looking alligator gar..I wouldn't keep the gator with the short nose too long since gators are the most aggressive gar species and will out grow the short nose in the near future.. how big is your short nose right now?
 
the shortnose is about 10-11", i'll keep a close eye on them and seperate them if necessary.. i never actually bought a shortnose in the first place, i ordered a longnose and when i recieved it turns out they mis-ID'd it, stupid shop..:screwy:

A lot of LFS's mislabel gar due to ignorance. We ordered in an alligator gar once and ended up with a Florida/Spotted. Turned out to be for the best, but they had no idea, although they put it on like they knew what they were talking about. Anyway, nice gator. I agree you will eventually be smart to separate them due to the gators probable aggression.
