Whats up people. I just have a few questions for ya'll ponder.

At 3-4 inches, should I be visibly able to notice differences in sex?

I'm curious b/c I have three G Saums that seem to have rounded dorsal fin edges, rather than pointed and trailing.

While I acknowledge the variables in breeding and genetics, at this size, should I be able to conclude that they are all females?

Or have there been any reports of male's with rounded fins? Or better yet, do juvenile males consistently display pointed dorsal fins right off the bat?

Also, around what size/age do these species begin to color up nicely?

Again, I realize the variety in genes and breeding quality, but I'm just curious to what keepers have experienced with this fish in the past. I know the statement "color up nicely" is a little broad, but I hope you guys understand what I mean. I know these questions do not reflect GT sexing as a whole, but I simply want to know what kind of information we can observe, by simply looking. For those who would advise me to vent, that is also an option, I'm just not trying to net them at the moment- i'm not lazy, just patient- okay maybe a lil lazy. Also, with the lack of images, I can understand the need to ask why I have not posted any pictures. This can only be answered by the numerous posts that try and continue to fail to sex these species based off the grainiest camera images to the picture perfect digital captures. Hopefully, through this thread, we as keepers can better understand the nature of the aequidens rivulatus.

Any comments are welcome and appreciated. Maybe I'll throw in some pictures for you fiends[spellcheck?] :D
