I'll start by telling you guys what I used to have a few years ago, that I liked but unfortunatly had to give it up.

I had a 90 gal. with a mated pair of Nicaraguensis, a mated pair of Severum and a mated pair of Salvini. Along with a Royal pleco.

This tank was alot of fun but the male Salvini got kind of unruley after his mate first laid eggs so I sold him off. Shame, he was so awesome looking.

After that there was still turf wars going on but nothing big. Lots of flexing but no one ever got hurt.

So this time around I'm wondering how many kinds of fish I should get and how many of each.
I could buy juviniles and sell them off till I get a pair to form or I could buy Adult pairs or just singles of each fish.

Here's what I have been thinking about:

Thorichthys Meeki "Firemouth Cichlid"
Archocentrus Sajuca "T Bar Cichlid"
Herotilapia Multispinosa "Rainbow Cichlid"
Herichthys Carpintis Escondido "Blue green Texas"
and I saw Jeff Rapps has Vieja Heterospilus, but doubtfull I would have the money to mail order a special fish.

Ofcourse I still like Salvini's and Nics too.
also open to other suggestions too, like dithers and stuff

Should I even bother with having a pair of something?
I wouldn't keep the fry or anything like that but I do like watching the spawning activities.
I realize I can't have all of these thats why I'm asking for advice.

Once grown I want them to be able to live in the 90 gal. even though I might at that time move them into a 125 I have in storage.

thanks
Greg
