I saw this at my LFS and i love it but iv searched al over the web trying ot find out what kind of cichlid this is and if it will be ok with my mbuna's. Can any one tell me what this is and if it is more or less aggressive than my mbuna's...............well crap it wont let me upload the pic i have of it the fish is Blue on the face and the rest of the fish is red down the sides ill up load a pic as soon as i can figure out why it wont let me

He is my Red Empress. He is a Hap and less aggressive than most mbuna in my opinion. What exactly do you have in your tank. Some mbuna are much more aggressive than others.
 
yes thats the one!! This one is not as full in the fins looks like it was beat up pretty bad...i have a pretty good mix of cichlids i have a two year old cobalt blue, a one year old demanasi if thats how you spell it i have two con pairs who surprisingly dont mess with any one else even with babies, a pair of powder blues, very young chipokae and two lace cats i think thats it lol i havent had any fighting and all my males are in full color with beautiful long flowing fins

Definitely. I thought of a Red Empress too and posted the pic of mine after you said it.

I always think of Borleyi as more red and black, but I guess they do have a little blue in the face.

The picture is a nice example of one with some really good red coloring.
 
perfect thanks guys he is finally starting to come around his fins are starting to grow out a bit more
