Hi guys,

Not to clued up on African Cichlids, I know these guys are probably peacocks, just wondering if anyone knew which type? African Cichlid 2.jpgAfrican Cichlid 3.jpg

Yep,it's been some years since I've kept them but they look like Taiwan Reefs to me!

"Juiced up" in aquarium lingo means
juvenile fish artificially infused with hormones.
Certain vendors use this practice, which prematurely colors up fish, as to increase sales.
The false coloration is often temporary.
Many of the "juiced" fish I've bought eventually had health problems & shortened lives.

Really interesting. I wonder why I have never heard about it here in Germany or even in the EU.
I couldn't figure out if it is legal here.

Wow thanks for the info. Didnt know they did this with African cichlids.
