Well when I got the other orinos, I saw another cichla that seemed to have some faint spotting also, but sometimes I would see it, then I wouldn't. (so of coarse I snatched it up too) They did come in the same batch. I couldn't get a pic good enough to be satisfied, but here they are. Could this be another orino sp.?

There are a lot of species of cichla. Its hard to tell until the fish grows bigger. I can't figure out which species i have, yet because i've seen other species juvenile's that look like mine when they are small. I'm pretty sure i have butterfly peacocks. Yours looks like a orinocensis.

clearer pics please, i really cant tell like that =P but it kinda looks like a peru mono.
That's what I thought when I got him home and analized him a little bit, was a little dissapointed. But today I moved them into a bigger tank and while in the bag I saw spots outlining the middle section of all three bars. I'm trying to get better pics, my skills aren't that great though.

When you shoot the pix, just shoot them from an angle...not straight on. This way the flash will reflect less and you should get clearer pix.

That's what I did. Above, below, and both sides. The ones that were more straight on showed the spotting the best. I'll through a light on the tank and see if I can get some better pics. My previous statements combined with the fact that they came in the same shipment as my other orinos has got me a little excited maybe. btw they are also 5-6''.
