So I just removed the HRP from my HRP/Freddie couple from the 300. And now it appears that my Festae and Midas have found love. You can see them squaring off w/ my Chancho in the first pic (first time I have ever seen him be aggressive). You can see she is a fan of Midas, as the second pic shows her showing off for my Barred Midas - who is now in a 135 w/ his barred Midas girl (3rd pic). Excuse the cloudy water and faded festae in the first pic. I just had to do a near 100% water chance and stir everything up to catch some fish that needed to be removed. I guess I'll eventually have to remove all the girls. :-) Festae Hybrid 11-6-17.JPG Midas 3 4-10-2017.jpg Barred Midas 1, 8-2-17.JPG

Very nice looking fish you have. FestaexMidas would be interesting indeed. Only for personal use of course. Your barred midas looks like a beast as well.

Thanks. I think I would pull a few babies if successful, just to see how they turn out. That barred Midas is named “Puppy Dog”. He was bigger than all others but never would fight back or hide - until he did - and then it was like Ralphie from A Christmas Story. The switch flipped over night and he had to be evicted from the 300. Lucky for him, I found him a girl that had killed all previous mating attempts, so they were perfect for each other.
