I am in a similar situation. I am only putting the Jar in a 120 nothing else. they can get a little bit over 2 feet long and are very territorial after they hit 8-9 inches. if you plan on doing this "4 inch jardini and 2 silver dollars and 2 pbass" you will be making constant water changes either daily or every other day when the fish mature. and i would not guarantee survival of your other fish, my jar is 5-6 inches right now and unfortunately he is an argo jardini and kills everything. for example i had a 8 inch jack dempsey it got destroyed, killed over night. but some people get luck if the other fish are in the tank first and have places to hide, they should be alright, large catfish hold their own. but if it is on the bottom it is most likely safe because it has time to run from the jar aro lurking overhead... good luck with your decesion :headbang2 MFK

:headbang2mine has worked out fine so far
edit... minus the silver dollars and tankmates you want get in the tank before the jar, it does help alot. mine only beat up on a silver arow and has snapped at my EBJD but he will be either sold or going into my 75g very shortly.

i was also wondering instead if i could try a florida gar thats around 8 inch with a 4 inch jar

gar might snap the jar lol
