Here is another juvie from The General owned by Freshwaterpredator. I bought this guy last week from Ira. This was Ira's pick. What a great eye for spotting some show stoppers. This lil guy has potential. Thanks Ira and thanks to The General. Took a few pics, this guy is so hard to photograph. For a 2incher, he has alot of blue freckles already.

you definitely got some good shots, especially with him being 2"!! i can never get pics of fish that small to turn out this good. i like the pic where he's flared out he does have some potential and lots of freckles. And he looks like he settled in just fine. Im looking forward to following up on the Generals fry

He is also showing the blue spangling alonf his flanks already. He settled in perfectly. He ate like 20 min after putting him in the tank when i got him. Now thinking about getting some Festae from you. You got some great fish!

Yes If I remember correctly they are from same spawn. The only difference is Brett bought his first and got a jump start on him. Danny's was in a holding tank a lil longer. That spawn was shipped out at same time and all the same size.
I can say after a week of having him, he is slightly bigger. He eats like a champ. He loves NLS 2mm sinking pellets, small pieces of krill and flakes.
My guy is picky. He will only eat hikari carnivore sticks. He spits anything else like bio gold and NLS.
I just fed him and he set a new single feed record of 6 sticks.
I feed him as much as he can eat every day and do 30% water changes every 4 days.
Temp is at 82 to keep the metabolism roaring.
My 2 month progress update is 10 days away so I need to pump him up.

also maybe try some live blackworms, they've helped all my lil guys explode. none of my growouts are picky. the only fish i have that wont eat everything under the sun is both my dovii pairs and the general. the big guys like massivore, carnivore pellets, krill, shrimp, talapia, and blackworms. I had the General eating NLS for 3 weeks then decided he didnt want any more. i try to keep everyone on a mixed diet lol
