I don't think VF was referring to a specific ad, just keep an eye on the kingsnake classifieds.

It might help to search by the scientific name- Dracaena guianensis. They are impressive lizards. The Nashville Zoo has a couple of 3-4 footers in their Amazon exhibit.

I'm not sure who has any for sale. We had a pair of them about 8-10 years ago when a large shipment came into the country. They are very impressive lizards. They primarily feed on snails. We actually got both of our's to feed on frozen snails that we purchased at a fish/sea food market and even got one of them to take mice on a regular basis. They need a large enclosure that is primarilly water. As stated they are very expensive when you can find them. They have never been real common in the pet trade.

they are great looking herps not doubt about that. i would just make sure you have a steady supply of snails avalible to you, and make sure they are avalible year round, some stuff may be seasonal.

that's what I'm been thinking too..lucky that I live close to tons of asian market..u know they will have it..BUT that snails might be seasonal..need to check stores around here...but I seen one for sale I think here in mfk or water wolves....it was really nice..I'll say about 6-7months ago for 2g's about 2ft long..but I was in to fish and not ready to change fish to reptiles yet..but I will be ready this time..1st comes out..I'll try to get it asap..thanks mike
