I fed my 2" Indonesian Tiger datnoid massivore today and he ate the most I have seen him eat yet which was 2 pellets(crushed of course). I notice if I leave a pellet in the water it will expand to almost twice the origional size, if not more.
How much will it expand in his stomach? Does it have any bad side effects? Or, is it not enough pressure to expand it enough to where it may due dammage to eternal organs?
Probably not a noteworthy question but I have always wondered.

My baby ID sharks eat as much as possible......5min later they look like balloons lol. So far I have never had a problem with massivore and all my fish ate it when they were smaller.

That's a great question. Please remember this diet and a number of others that we make are developed to become like a pancake in consistency which to the fish appears to be similar to a live food. In this instance, these pellets will expand, but given the soft and highly digestive nature there should be no issue for your fish. Also, remember, to maximize growth it is best to feed more frequent smaller feeding instead of a smaller number of larger ones.

Thanks for the reply!!
I normally don't like to feed them too large of a meal but I fast them after every three days and last feeding beforehand I usually give a little more.
My catfish on the other hand I may have to seperate cause he will totally gorge himself cause my polypterus take a while to get to the food.
My catfish won't eat the pellets... Any advice to help me convert him into eating them a little faster?

Great question! Most people never take this into account when feeding their fish.

Tell us a little about the normal food you feed them and how often and we can try to assist you.
