Picked up two more mbunas today. Mixed Africans so I can’t say for sure what they are, but I think I have an idea.
Number 1, suspected melanochromis cyaneorhabdos:

Number 2, suspected crabro:

Thanks in advance!

The first one is not maingano because they have horizontal stripes only...no vertical markings.

Any ideas on what it could be? It is only about an inch so is it possible the vertical stripes are only juvenile coloration?

I have never seen a maingano juvenile with vertical markings. Hybrid? Pseudotropheus interruptus can have markings like those, but I would not expect to find one in an assorted tank. The hybrids with markings like those are fairly common.

Thanks! Yeah, hybrid may be be the best bet.
