It's sad that there's one less of these endangered animals, but we also need to see it from the Filipino fishermen's point of view.

If you're a fisherman in a third world country trying to feed your family do you really care what the WWF says?

At least the fish didn't go to waste.
 
Yea you can't really blame the fisherman. Maybe the WWF member could have done something like offer him shark meat from a species that isn't so rare but I guess there would be reasons against that.
 
At the end of the day it may be a rare endangered very rarely ever seen creature... but its still a fish, and for the fisherman its still food.

I doubt they carry a WWF handbook of rules and regulations as what they should and should not eat.

Cool find, at least it shows they're still out there!
 
The fish died already, then they tried to get the fisherman to not eat it, atleast the body was used rather than wasted. IMO
