The Cave
Well,

taking apart the 220 was a disaster. 2 panes broke right in half. not to be dismayed, I figured out the gross plans for a new tank witht he remnant glass! It's dimensions will be 40" long, 23" wide, and 28" high with the 1/2 in thick glass and a built-in overflow because the bottom was already drilled! Score! Anyone have any idea about how many gallons that will be??? I'm thinking somewhere between 60 and 75. I'm gonna get a cutting estimate from the local glass shop and see how much it is.

I would say about 133gal. give or take a few cups

sweet! Let's just pray it works out. Probably won't be in my budget for a couple of months (supplies, etc.) but I'll update when I get started. Until then this new 100 I'm getting tomorrow will be a fun start

Make sure you grind/sand all broken/cut edges, and use a perticle mask (very important).

See if you can find some GE 1200 silicne for your build too.

The formula is [(40/12)x(23/12)x(28/12)]x7.5=111.8 gallons
