That is no zig-zag Mastacembelus armatus or Macrognathus pancalus. Looks like an African, this happened at my LFS as well with an African spiny coming in a Zig-zag shipment. Very similar looking to my specimen.

African spiny eel most likely m.frenatus. I have three tanks of spiny eels and all mine are pretty active most times.
