I have a AC 110 that is still making a lot of noise. I replaced the impeller and the impeller shaft, yet it still is making a loud vibrating noise.

I use the filter with a sand bottom, but I use a sponge pre-filter on the intake. Apparently the previous owner dropped the filter, but I was under the impression that it was magnetically driven, and had no other moving parts besides the shaft and impeller.

Any thoughts? How do I know if I put the impeller shaft in far enough?

both my ac110s make noise when the intake is all the way to the left. one makes this weird clicking noise and the other makes a grinding. i've tried everything short of replace parts to fix it but it's just as easy to have the intake turned all the way to the right.

i replaced my 75 gallon substrate with fine, powdery, white sand, and then Zoidberg, my 7 inch pleco started digging massivly and alot of sand got sucked up into my AC 110, it's pretty noisy right now :(

ive washed it out and everything

adjust the lid... make sure the lid is seated properly....
Make sure there is no junk under the impeller cover...
