Hello all. Long time scavenger, first time poster.
Rescued an adult red Oscar well over a year ago, has been in great shape until recently. Currently in a 75 with a juvenile Cyano (Texas). Big weekly water changes. The Oscar was first tankmates with a female GT, no issues. Then the Texas stirred things up so I removed the GT and things are now very peaceful, but......
They both have been exhibiting weird eating habits ever since I pulled the female GT out (she was being very aggressive)
Texas cichlid kinda waits around for the Oscar to eat so it can eat the crumbs from the gills. Oscar looks emaciated and isnt interested in pellets, nor bloodworms. And as a result, the texas doesnt seem interested either, but will take bloodworms sometimes.
Did a huge water change, lowered water level, treated with API General Cure (2 doses @50 gallons for 4 days, followed by another huge water change. Fish seem more active now, but still wont eat?
any suggestions? Before and then very recent pic.
