Another pike ID :)

What kind of pike do i have? It was labled as red pike at the lfs. sorry for the crappy pics but i dont have the best camera in the world.

The first three pics are of the fish in its "stress Pattern". The last two give us a better idea of what you have, Cr. johanna which is commonly called the Red Pike. The thick black body line is a great indicator of this fish.

yea im gonna move the pbass to another tank...just trying to make more room..

Its already chasing around the pbass too so its getting a little aggressive already. Doesnt mess with my jags tho.

Another thing to look for when ID'in johanna is the lack of a caudual ocelli at the base of the tail. Johanna don't have this like many Lugubris pikes do, helps make it a little easier to ID them. Awesome fish! Gonna grow into a brute quickly!! Hopefully it'll become your fav. fish!
