Looking good Redear!

I used to keep fancy goldfish years ago but then went down the dark, evil cichlid path.... which I still like, but at times I miss the peaceful, calm nature of keeping goldfish.

Thank you for your kind words!! I kept cichlids on and off for the better part of 25 years, but like you said, i've gone down the happy happy happy path, and I can;t see myself ever going back. I wouldn't mind a saltwater trigger fish though... but I love Goldfish too much to use up water space. :)

I remember your big midas, was an awesome fish. I know it was difficult for you to rehome him.

Yeah, that fish was incredible. It was my fault in the end, 70 gallons was NOT enough for a Midas. I won't make that mistake again. They need a TON of room, as they like to swim and thrash.

I also like the relative innocence and placidity of goldfish :) definitely good fish to watch and relax

Agreed. But the interesting thing about this male goldfish is that I can't trust him with any females, he's ultra aggressive.
