My red devil is about 6" now and i am wondering if it is sexable yet? It seems fairly agressive and has bit me once. Bangs the glass when your hand is there and bites its reflection all night when the lights are on. would this behavior represent a male or are the females generaly this agressive also? At this size it still has no nuchal hump, is there any chance of it appearing in the next few inches?

You should be able to tell soon. My male bit me, attacked the net. I got sick of him going after me when I tried syphoning his tank for him, so I traded to a guy that was going to try and breed him. Had a huge hump on the head at 8-9'' I want to say???? Was a while ago I had him.
Females and males are both agressive. Some pictures showing his/her vent would help. Should be sexable now though.
