Another Retic update

So here are some updated pics of my two retics. The females getting some nice J-Lo booty going, and the male is starting to put on some good weight as well, although still not as fat as the female (hey, what do you expect after a week?).

I've also been considering possible tankmates for them. I've been thinking some kind of bichir (I really like the ornates, but I can't find them near me and shipping is painful), maybe some discus, or a silver arowana? Does anyone have some suggestions? I've got a 125g tank to work with, so I'm open to some larger fish. I was also thinking maybe a school of like 50-75 neon tetra's, or something like that, just for the effect it would have, and I wouldn't really care if they got eaten occasionally by the rays.

and that pleco.........watch out for hickies





tankmates, i know that aros and rays look great together......but having an aro makes feeding rays costly, you gotta fill up the aro before anything will drop for the rays.

I've got another 125g tank that I'm currently resealing, it should be set up within a couple of weeks at the most. The rays will be going in there by themselves to start with. I may* add some tankmates as well, which is what I'm getting idea's for. I may just leave them as the only 2 in the tank also.

I don't want to bother removing any sand since they won't be in there for much longer.
