my rtc ate what looks to be about 4 pounds of rock i know they do this but i was thinking what end is it gonna come out of?and when

Chances are your going to find those rocks being spit up over the next couple of days... or weeks.... or months... it's suprising how much they will eat and how long it can take for them to "expell" them. Depending on the size of the rocks I wouldn't be to worried about them coming out the other end... unless they are fairly small in which case I would be VERY CONCERNED if they come out the other end they could do some serious damage along the way.

id like to say i knew but i really dont it looks like all the larger rocks are still there but i dont count them and my fish move stuff all the time more than likely they are marble sized at most
Give it a few days and if he doesn't seem to get them up.... you could over feed him and he'll spit them up ... mind you it's a WORST CASE type of thing... should you have to do that bear in mind that you will have some work to do and quick on your tank... Water change and a good cleaning right away.
