Fishing in Wisconsin
I know its not cool to sit around and flame big chains for their fish selection, but I was shocked when I went to walmart today.

They're fish of the month special was asian redtail catfish. For those who don't know they're one of the (arguably) most aggressive fish that you can own. They had 7-8 3.5" ones crammed into a 20 gallon tank All of them had fin damage from one another and most had been bitten up to the point of open wounds.

I was really sad to see this. I wish they would look into the fish they sell there and treat them right. I tried talking to the lady working the pet department, but she wasn't much help...

That is sad. One of the reasons I'm looking to leave a chain store.

why do you people do this?

you know walmart has ****ty fish... you have seen them before. you know walmart as ****ty fish because there is a thread each week about them on here.

THEN WHY THE HELL DO YOU GO LOOK AT THEM! jus tso you can come on here and complain about it? just to get depressed? what is the point?

Whoa...asian red tails? thats a pretty uncommon fish for wal-mart...and one of my favorites...sad to see them at Wal-Mart

Yeah, one of my favorite as well, and definitely never seen them at wally-world before...

The walmart around here usually isn't too bad for taking care of their fish, i just thought it was too bad that they didn't know to not keep them in such close quarters.

Walmart can't even label their fish right!!

It was a sad day when Walmart started selling fish.

my walmart is pretty good they use ro water with there fish i am getting to know the old russian lady who is in charge of the fish but she still wont let me see there filter setup.
