I have been thinking on how to set up my new 135 and I know that I am running 3 canister filters on it. for the time being I will be running 3 Marineland C220 canisters but will delete one of those and add the bigger Marineland C530 in the future when my finances allow for it. anyhow that is off the subject. I was thinking of building my own intakes out of PVC and painting them with the krylon fusion paint since i have read everywhere its non toxic. What i was thinking about doing is having them at varying depths in the tank. The reason i was thinking of doing this is possibly saving myself some cleaning time. I was thinking one down low about 6" off the bottom and then one maybe halfway up the tank and then one about 6 inches below the surface. Has anyone ever done this? any ideas or suggestions on this. If you think I am wasting my time let me know. This is one of my great ideas i have thought up during the day when i should be working!!
