Hi there, me again!

OK, so stocklist so far for the 350L corner tank:

6 x Congo Tetra
1 x 2.5" siamese algae eater
1 x 4" Blyth's loach (and funnily enough it is peaceful!)
1 x 4.5" Rotkeil female severum
1 x 2" male sajica
1 x 2" EBJD

I would like to get another severum, maybe a gold, or a notatus, to add colour. However, I know they can be a bit mean to each other and I want to keep the tank as peaceful as possible. In other people's experience, how do severums get along together? If it turns out I get a male would the two get it on considering they are different types? Would it be better to try and get another female?

Thanks.

from my limited experience with cichlids the two severums I kept (about 5in) never fought. They would always swim together and stay close. The jewel was the aggressor in the tank but the severums never made any advances towards one another.

I only had them for a few weeks, the previous owner kept them togheter with yet another severum since they were about 2 inches.

Although my EBJD is still small he is super cool and hangs out with the Rotkeil. Those two are the only ones that don't show any sort of agression with each other. They were the first two cihclids in the tank and it may well be because the EBJD is still small. However he is starting to show some balls just recently towards the Congo Tetras, stealing food from their mouths lol!

I would try adding another severum as long as it is not much smaller than the one established in the tank

Can anyone tell me if for example I got a Gold male or an efasciatus male, would the female Rotkeil and the other breed? Or would they only breed if I got another Rotkeil? What is the likelihood of them breeding because I heard that they are quite difficult to pair up anyway.
