Really hard to tell based on pics alone - try a video?

If pressed I'd say male.
 
Usually females look like that
 
This is my third Gt, bought what appeared the most dominant in the tank all three times. I was wrong the first two, grew each out to 6-7 inches. This one has a significantly darker overall appearance than either of the last two. I hope you guys are wrong, I really want a male.
