Male or Female?

I think its a Male but i keep second guessing myself.

5in Long and THICK. Roughly 1 Year old ... Lived in 125g...Just moved to 75g with smaller fish stock

Pretty sure she's a female. Rounded fins and the striping says female. Plus she is kind of small for 1year old if it were a male.

Very true never thought about it that way...

MY JD is a female for sure and they like circle like they are going to mate...its weird...havent been able to get a video of it yet

Both sexes have rounded fins, but the coloration is female.
If there are only two fish in a tank, or all are female, then yes, they will spawn.

No doubt it is a female.

Def female it isn't the color it's the rounded body shape I have had males that pattern looks like that but
Males are more streamlined
