I thinking that I may have a male and a female. The male? is about 3/4" bigger and starting to get a little aggressive-moving plants, gravel flaring now and then. There about 6"-7", maybe 6 months old.
What do you guys think? too soon?
Thanks
I'd wouldn't say it's too soon, but I've heard they're sexually monomorphic. The male will become larger than the female when they're full grown. If they spawn, I'll gladly take some fry off your hands .
Hopefully your right santoury.
They havent really paired up yet. All Im going by is the finage for sexing. If Im correct I have a trio and a runt that I think may have shrunk since I got them.
Do you have any tips or suggestions on inticing them to breed? Ive found very little info on them. Fish base said there live in waters with a pH of 8.2 but that cant be right. The tank is at a stable 6.6. They were recently moved into my 75g
I see you live in MA sometimes, did you get them from uncle Neds?
Thank you all for any help- Im probably going to need it.
