My nephew came over the last two days, he's a pipeliner (Local 790) and welded up my stand for me. I was originally going to do wood, but he offered up his welding skills.
The tank is a 450 gallon glass, 10'x2'x3'. It weighs about a thousand pounds. With water and decor, I am estimating 5000 pounds on our slab floor.
2x2x.250 square tube with 2x4x.250 for the top (for more rigidity). I know that is way overkill. Question is do I have enough diagonals. On the left side I will use two bolted on triangle gusset plates so I can get the 125 gallon sump in from the left side ( I only have 1/2" clearance on each side of the sump).
Am I missing anything? Priming and painting (truck bed liner) coming this week.
