okay, almost got most the planning and ideas to setup my 240..another question i have is about the stand. it's pine, made for fish tank. looking if i should reinforce more with 2x4's because looks kind of flimsy, but feels real sturdy..

on the back it's open, but the thing i'm concerned about is the weight of the tank full, and on the back of the stand..which spans 8ft, are only two seperate 2x4's going vertically...

i know i said feels real sturdy, but want to make sure. i think it should be alright, the guy i got it from said they had a 180 on top of it...the tank that's going on it is also acrylic by the way. tia..

So the back end has (2) 2x4's on the right and left side essentially?

I'd add another one in the middle of the back so there would be (3) now in the back. That's just me though others might disagree.

actually, there are the sides of the stand, and somewhere in between the 8ft span are 2 (2x4's) additional in the middle. i know my 135 gal stand has the same type with 2 vertical 2x4's and it has held to this day, but..some how this one i'm kinda questioning if it will hold.

Cool!

Yep. You should be good.
