Recently bought a new 60 for my bedroom.

I want to set this tank up with fish I can keep for a while, and nothing that should outgrow a 100-120 for the next couple years.

I want to get some type of pike. I really want a lentic but yeah, tough to find.

Considering a Fire Eel, Clown loaches, Red tail barracuda. I dunno, still very early.

What are some fish that dont grow too huge and are pretty sturdy?

I've found barracudas to be iffy, not sturdy. Not sure about clown loaches - they do have specific water requirements, I believe. Fire eels and pike cichlids (most) get really large.

Here are some suggestions for you - Rainbow Wolf fish, black bar silver dollars, or, if aggression doesn't matter, there are TONS of "medium" sized fish that can be housed together - Snakeskin gouramis, kissing gouramis, many catfishes - Sun Cats, Pimelodus cats, etc.... Smaller Cichlids - Convicts, Kribs, Geophagus, etc.

If you were more specific, we can help you some more.

Looking for fish that stay under 18 or so inches.

I thought a good ammount of pikes stay relatively small?

Im not really after petco fish, Im more into tropicalish and dont see every day fish.
