Hello,

I am in the process of starting small home business. I have incorporated and obtained the required licenses/permits for this operation and I obtain small fish from local breeders, importer and wholesalers. I am also developing an extensive breeding program myself. We will be moving into a warehouse this summer.

I am trying to develop a cost effective, yet operational system for holding and growing out fish. My prototype consists of four 17 gallon plastic "Sterlite"tubs. The tubs are placed on a plywood and 2x4 rack. Since the tubs have a slight "slant" on the sides I'll be bracing them with extra 2x4's.

Since the lift is only 3 1/2 feet I was thinking of using a Mag3 to pump it with a pair of 300 watt heaters for temperature backup. I live in South Florida (and they will be indoors), pretty nice climate all year round.

Only downside to this is disease. One fish gets sick they all get sick since it is basically one tank. Other than that I can't see the draw back. the tanks will be covered with egg crate and I will get a four foot shop light.

I have attached a quick drawing.

I welcome your comments/suggestions. Thanks.View attachment Four tub holding tank.bmp
