I know you guys get asked this question alot and I have been searching but can't really find any info for what I need. I live close to custom aquarium manufacturers at extremely reasonable prices, I can get up to a 72" aquarium and probably 2.5-3' of width on it. I am planning a new tank that size to hopefully aim for within the next 6 months while I work to get the extra cash as I grow out some ocells in a 90g. How long do you think I could keep a few ocells in an aquarium with that type of footprint and what would a good height be?

8'x4'x3'....would be good, how many pbass?

At the moment I have 4 but they are still quite young so I am unsure what the future holds. I would like to hold onto them as long as possible but if I must seperate with some or all eventually and it is in their best interests I will.

get the biggest tank that you can afford and the bigger the better.

TRUE ^^, but don't get a tank height that is 12'' tall.

The biggest you can afford, if you can do 10'x4.5'x3' do it or even bigger. Peacock Bass are extremely large fish when grown and I would suggest nothing less than 8'x4'x3' which it would eventually get to large for anyway if you successfully keep it that long. Much like many fish the ultimate home would be a large pond, like 12x6x4 or something.

The sky is the limit, guys on here adding additions to their house for 50,000g tanks and stuff...Do what you can with what you have available or else the aquaria life will comsume all else that you know, own and love! Some species of Pbass dont get as big as others, some cap out at like 14 inches or so, while others can get much, much larger. If you pick the smaller species, 3 fish in a 300g tank would be no problem for their entire life.

is 18-20" high pushing it in terms of height the pbass need or is that fine, cus the cost of the acrylic skyrockets when you hit like 3/4".
