Another Update and some questions..

Heres the boys...they are WILD... haha... i cannot walk into the room with out them swimming like crazy...they want to eat every time they see me... is this how your turtles are.... haha,... how do you know when your overfeeding... they are so cute and wild...

EPT are always energetic when they see you approach the tank. It's hard not to want to feed them when they beg like this but they can get over fed. You really should only feed them once a day for the first 1/2 year and then switch over to ever other day. Feed them as much as they'll eat in about 5 minutes. Make sure to keep the diet varied because many captive turtles seem to favor a meaty diet over veggies. As they get older more vegetation can be added to their diet. Mine always seemed to enjoy munching on water lily leaves.

that helps me alot... right now i feed the turtle pellets and freeze dried shrimp and lettuce leaves... and some flakes... they love the flakes after they eat the pellets... i just wanted to make sure not to over feed so i am glad you told me a time frame ... i will get their shell size tommorrow.. i have not picked them up in awhile...they must be so strong.. their legs go so fast in the water i cannot even see them sometimes..never thought turtle were so active..

I agree with all the others have said Your diet seems ok but isnted of letuce give them other dark leaf vegetables like mustard greens, turnip greens and water cress As for your turts if I had to put my money on it I would say they are 2 girls
