Hello, I've kept fish for years but got a real bad bug for african cichlids a little over a year ago. In this time I have done extensive research and continue to learn more and more all the time. I currently have 7 tanks running at 249g. I plan on adding another 10-15 tanks this summer and am working on plans to set up another fishroom so I can expand on my breeding. My main focus in breeding will be with Victorian cichlids. I continue to add on to my species list as I find good sources with strains that can be traced back to the "lake". This can be very tough with Victorians because of the many mis-communications and bad identities that lead to disaster in the end. Still, I continue to find reliable sources and will eventually have a great stock list to share with others.
I live in NE Indiana but am not a member of our cichlid club. Indy is a long ways down the state for me so I've been contemplating trying to get together a northern group that would be affiliated with the main group. Not sure if it's possible but I'd really like the opportunity to hang out with some people who share my "cichness". I've already been prompted by a couple people to seek out the groups here for Indiana and victorians so I'll look forward to joining those as soon as I find them. Until then, enjoy your fish!

Welcome!!!

This is a picture of my 70g pentagon corner tank that houses mostly Victorians with a few other fish for color contrast. Active tank that's lots of fun!
