Pic showing size. Cabinet door is 21" under him.
He seems to be doing well. He only likes to eat once a week maybe twice a week, but can eat almost a whole filet of tilapia at a time. When he was smaller he use to eat daily.

He is a beauty..... Do they rays ever startle him causing him to bang into sides or top. And what of pups, do you worry that when you have pups he will eat them.

Not sure if it happened in these vids BUT the p14 always go for him. But barely phases him. During feeding I have had him smash the glass before and it scared the crap out of me.
Sometimes he is pissed and he will circle tank mates at supersonic speed. Lol
But I don't think I have any fear of pups being eaten.

thanks Trev, i have had him a year now.. Here is a time line

These two are when he first arrived march 2013 9.5-10" range

That's some crazy growth! Mine seem to have stopped, or slowed down at least, at the 12" mark

No he hasn't ever ate live in my tank.
I kinda want to tho.

Ive thought about catching my own food like whole shad and perch to feed him. But I would probably freeze the first. He killed all my big sd's but one but ever ate them just shanked them.
