The armatus has GROWN! I got him three months ago today at 4" and he is very close if not at 10" now!

Im also really happy with my four bar Indo. He is the only one I kept out of a large group. He is stable 90%+ of the time and has such a sexy body shape to him! :headbang2

Can some one ID the silver dollar? Also I was told in the cichla forum that my peacock bass is an orionosis. Im still not sure though.

Sorry for the dirty glass... :nilly:

JD_MAN...armatus has grown hasnt it?

So far the only fish my armatus messes with is the little SD. I think the dats (other then the little one) are still too big and have too much mass for him to mess with. Same goes for the Distichodus.

Everything looks great man. All your dats have very nice color to them. Your water quality must be top notch. and of course the armatus rocks.

Everyone is being too quick to say you definately can't comm. armatus with other fish. There are so few of them in aquariums I don't feel this judgement should be deemed absolute. Obviously they are a very agressive fish an the majority of the time they will not work in the long run but I believe with the right stocking of fish, a big tank, and some luck a few of us may be able to keep them with other fish. I already know mine is agro so I am not one of the lucky ones.

I think this is true too. Mine only chases the SD around. Occasionally he will chase the cichla around but he is much too fast for the armatus :screwy:

I honestly dont even think he notices the dats!

I have yet to hear of anyone really having problems with Armatus and Dats.

Mines currently in with a 7-8 in thinbar and a 3in silver no problems........YET.
