Good Morning,

Yes, indeed I have yet another weight question. I have a 125 gal. that I would relocate into my apartment, 2nd floor, on an interior wall.

The stand is white pine 2x4's.

125 gallons would be in the range on 1037 lbs.? w/o substrate...

Yes, I've used the search button, but just wanna make sure that that it will be okay.

It's an apartment building, 8 units I believe to a building. I'm on the 2nd story. It's in florida's east coast built in the mid to late 80's....

Any florida contractors out there who would know the hurricane proof stuff better than I do?

Thank you for any insight.

Is the wall a load bearing wall?

Let me preface that answer by saying that I am not a rough carpenter, structural engineer, or licensed general contractor, or the like.....So I will explain it the best I can without embarrassing myself too much....

It's a wall that separates the living room from the bedroom. The living room and bedroom are staggered ,meaning, looking down upon the layout the living room juts out maybe 8' towards the exterior.

Is it load bearing? I'm can't be sure. The downstairs apartment would be the same layout in comparison to mine except for the differences in the stairs for mine.

Here's something that will help, if you look at the roof line does the wall go the same direction as it does? So if the very top of the roof goes the same direction, then generally it's load bearing. But one thing to remember with a tank that big is to make sure you have insurance that will cover water damage in case the tank may ever leak or bust, especially in an apartment.
