Alright so I know theres many what to stock my tank with threads out there.

Right now I have a 55g thats been cycling with a bristlenose pleco and some danios and a betta for a month now. It also has a large and small amazon sword and a small peice of driftwood. I use prime flourish and flourish excel and everything seems great plants are healthy fish are happy water tests out good too so now im ready for fi*****he betta would get kicked out to his 10gl so no probs there. Heres the delima:

Option 1: Yellow labs and demasoni. I want something colorful and im a fan of yellows and blues. I love planted tanks though so is it impossible to keep it planted? Or are there any tips or tricks to it? (I know ill need some rock work)

Option 2: Iv aaaaalways wanted a gar. The LFS has some small florida/spotted gars in and id love to have one. Problem is then my tank would be a growout which is ok just an excuse to upgrade later! But I really like my bristlenose pleco too. Which I know plecos and gars dont go well but are bristlenose better about not attaching on gars?

Option 3: EBJD same problems as with option 1 haha. And I know the whole not hardy before 3 in mark problem

Option 4: Datnoid

Option 5: Whatever anyone else can think of! Im looking for something colorful mainly except for the gar and dat of course) Cardinal tetras who knows! Iv been suggested rainbow fish but im not too thrilled about the shape of thier bodies but I also havent done too much research on them so im sure theres tons of them out there. I just need some ideas and thanks everyone!

Sorry for the novel sized post.

if you want something gar-ish, there are other species like hujeta gar, which aren't really gar but look similar. They don't come with the ugrade excuse though.

Option two sounds nice...
