I almost picked one up myself the other day but it was kinda pricy...
good thing too cuz instead i picked up what I thought was a P. Palmas Palmas
turns out i got a Beuttikoferi for only 35 bucks :>

They are just babies at about 6-7 inches. Too bad they are illegal up there, they are great fish!

Yea, they are more expensive than most of the other Gar, but well worth it! Nice grab on the Poly!

nice pickup. I still have my two from Mike. In the bags looks like a cichlid and plecos
 
Yes, they stay fairly smallish. Sadly it seems one of them has some issues with its back. It appears it is broken. Snout is turned up, as is the tail. Hard time swimming. Sucks, I really wanted to have 3!

I had one from George at SA, wish I would have kept it, it would have been a real MONSTER by now!

Hey Chris post some pictures of the one with the back issue I want to see how bad it is, I have seen it happen before and if it's still has movement and is eathing they will normaly heal up. Thanks Mike
