Hi all has anybody had problem with ants trying to nest in the lights on top of the aquarium

I hope this tank is in your garage and not in your living room.

I've never heard of this before. I would think the lights would be too hot for them.

I had ants in the light of one of my tanks in the basement. I used a shop vac to remove them. Easy solution.

No. That's strange. I know in the summer and spring I get some ants in my house but never in my fish tank. My fish tank is always cleaner than my house.

Or shake the light every once and a while. Free fish food! I kid, i kid...

find where they are coming from and lay down some pepper. they hate pepper.

hmm.. glad I bumped into this thread. seems the 2nd floor of my house is now infested with ant colonies literally in every room. kind of off topic, but someone told me this summer is going to have a lot more bugs and mosquitoes since winter wasn't cold or persistent enough to kill bugs that hide in the ground during the season. i hope this isn't true..
