I have a nice monster Anubia in my tank and I am looking to add some more fish, but I am afraid that the plant will get torn up. Is the anubia a target for a fish that likes plants?

Possibly but unlikely. Anubis have thick, heavy leaves. Some fish like Oscars and RDs might move it, but not really eat it. Just get fish that are plant friendly.
From what i heard that anubia is actually a good plant to add to a tank that has plant eating fish, the taste of anubia is supposed to be unpleasing to the fish so they just ignore it.. Hence many use anubias in their african cichlid tank.
