I 'm considering buying anubias plant already on some drift wood from AZ Garden would their roots eventually grow onto my gravel substrate? Would a liquid fertilizer or root tabs be good for them? I have two eight inch work lamp reflectors with cfl bulbs rated at 23 watts just inch or two above my 56 column tank. Lights are on timer for 8 hours, I have six raphael catfish, two featherfin catfish about four inches, two small warmouth sunfish, one blue gourami would this stock load produce enough ammonia, nitrates and nitrite for these plants?

Do it, tough as nails plant. And its the only plant that actually grows in my tanks. but leave it on the drift wood, the roots grow in to it. It will do better attached do a larger rock or driftwood.
